With the recent published Lancet Planetary Diet and updated Canada Food Guide, it couldn’t be a better time to chat about plant-based sources of protein.

An easy and delicious snack, roasted chickpeas are great toppings for your leafy green salad or as a crunchy afternoon snack. Chickpeas are great sources of fibre and protein. In 1 cup, you can find ~15g of protein and 8g of fibre.

Not convinced? Try out store-bought roasted chickpeas or try making this easy snack for yourself (you can make them for $1.00 or less!).
