Ingredients

ground turkey

680 ml can
tomato sauce
1
796 ml can
diced tomatoes

540 ml can
beans of your choice (ex. six-bean mix)

cooked green lentils
or corn

package
frozen spinach
thawed

cup
white onion
diced

olive oil

cloves
garlic
crushed

tbsp
cumin

tbsp
oregano
dried

tbsp
basil
dried

tsp
red pepper flakes
(optional)
Salt and pepper
to taste
Instructions
In a large pot, heat the olive oil on medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the onions are translucent.
To this, add the ground turkey and cook for 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the meat is browned.
Season with cumin.
Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, canned beans and lentils. Cook for 5 minutes.
Mix in the spinach, oregano, basil and red pepper flakes.
Reduce the heat to low and allow the flavours to combine for 5-10 minutes.
Serve with cilantro or parsley, avocado or a dollop of sour cream and enjoy!
